Overley Hall’s grounds extend to fourteen acres of mixed parkland, woodland, gardens and areas for exploration and adventure.
We value the variety of our outdoor spaces and recognise the innumerable benefits available to our young people.
We have an Outdoor Activity Leader to support our residents in accessing our grounds, and promoting engagement in outdoor sessions.
Outdoor sessions include a mix of educational, vocational, and recreational activities: exploration, discovery, and creativity for wellbeing.
Examples include sensory activities, wild crafts, and outdoor cooking, bug hunting and pond dipping.
Our Outdoor Activity Leader has 15 years professional experience supporting people with complex needs, specialising in Forest School and outdoor therapies.
He offers daily after-school clubs, seasonally themed holiday activity days, and delivers outdoor group sessions for those visiting a family member on site (these may be booked via our care team).
