Overley Hall Careers Development Offer

At Overley Hall School, we work with commitment and co-operation to ensure our school community develop the capacity to enjoy life and achieve outstanding end-points. Through the implementation of planned programmes of study and application of a sequential careers/vocational curriculum map we equip our learners for their next destination ensuring they have the knowledge, resilience and cultural capital towards living a more meaningful and productive life. We endeavour to ensure they can positively contribute to society, make fulfilling contributions within our local community and to reach their maximum potential independently, vocationally, socially and economically.

Overley Hall School careers education, information, advice and guidance provides our students with the tools, values and confidence to help prepare them for adulthood. We help them to consider their future options, recognise their interests and strengths realise their potential and decide how their skills and experiences fit with opportunities in the job market and for quality living. We prepare students for their preferred transitional pathway whether that is to continue with further education, employment, training or living independently and we use a person-centred approach in our delivery method.

We are fully committed to our obligation to provide a holistic careers service to all learners here at Overley Hall from Year 8 onwards, highlighting the vocational and academic routes to their preferred careers path.
